Obama at 45% in Rasmussen

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll - Rasmussen Reports™
Daily Presidential Tracking Poll
Friday, March 19, 2010

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 23% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-four percent (44%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -21. That matches the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President (see trends).

Each time the President leads a big push for his health care plan, his job approval ratings suffer. For Members of Congress, the impact may be more tangible. Just 34% say they’re more likely to vote for someone who supports this legislation. Fifty-percent (50%) are less likely to vote for a Member of Congress who supports the health care reform plan proposed by the President and Congressional Democrats.

  1. Obama Wins Election By Ten Million Votes

Healthcare reform top issue for American voters. Pledges to work for it after decades of lip service and delay.

  2. You're living in the past, man! Gallup has Obama approval at 46/48, or underwater.

Health Care reform ranks under Jobs and the Economy of issues Americans are concerned about. And they do not want this bill, 70% say scrap and start over.

  3. Oh...but I forgot it will create 16,500 IRS jobs so they can enforce the unconstitutional mandate of purchasing insurance. Whoa, I am sure relieved. Just what we need, the IRS with increased power. Great!

  4. You and your polls. My point was the election of '08 was a poll, ans it was driven by Americans who want healthcare reform, difficult and complex as it is.
Scrap and start over? That would be living in the past, with a future that doesn't begin to wrestle the issue. Tick tock, lalalaaa while people are denied coverage or they decide to forgo premiums, then guess what, you and i get the bill. We are enlarging the pool. also the working poor cannot afford a health spending account. they too end up with the ER choice, and we pay.
Are you implying this administration has done nothing to address jobs and the economy? That doesn't seem like a news junkie.
Lets face it, this problem needed a jump start and its been over a year in the making with debate and lots of false charges.
I voted for bold action and thats what has been done. Are you thinking of moving to Canada like Mr. Limbaugh said he would if this passed?
I bet our healthcare will always be better than theirs.

  5. Mr. Limbaugh said no such thing.

People did not vote for a welfare state and that's what this disgraceful person is creating and thats is his intent.

    See ya in November...

  6. Correction: Rush said if this passes, and its five years from now with the things implimented, he'll leave. Costa Rica.

Rasmussen: the Total Approve is trending for the president in the last few days: from 43% to 48%. They must be polling other "disgraceful" people. Those darn polls!

  8. Wrong again. You should stop getting your news from Media Matters or MSNBC. He said he would get his medical treatment from Costa Rica, not that he would leave the country.

And as for his approval rating what you gave me is about right. Rasmussen and Gallup have him getting a bump from all the fawning coverage. Not surprising...but will probably fall again.

  9. Regardless of where I got the numbers, it blends 7 poll sources that includes Ras, Gallup.

I don't put that much creedence in these, they go up and they go down. What else is new?
But to go along with your focus on them...there it is, from today.

It doesn't matter where Rush might go for medical needs, his approach is to get the bill- -write the check or pay cash. He's a leader, why aren't we following?

  10. Everything you claimed Bush would do Obama is doing and yet you are silent. You are a hypocrite like all liberals. You can follow him to the slaughter if you want to. Some of us will not.

  11. Was your last post meant for another place? No mention of Bush from me.

    "a hypocrit like all liberals":
Seems broad generalizations like this will be the death of any movement. They cannot be accurate.
