Berger

And some how what Scooter Libby told, thought he told or heard from Tim Russert is more important than what classified documents Sandy Berger removed from the National Archives and destroyed in what is quite obviously so far a successful attempt to hide his incompetence and that of the Clinton administration; The commission's former general counsel, Dan Marcus, now an American University law professor, separately expressed surprise at how little the Justice Department told the commission about Berger and said it was "a little unnerving" to learn from the congressional report exactly what Berger reviewed at the Archives and what he admitted to the FBI -- including that he removed and cut up three copies of a classified memo. "If he took papers out, these were unique records, and highly, highly classified. Had a document not been produced, who would have known?" Brachfeld said in an interview. "I thought [the 9/11 Commission] should know, in current time -- i...

So Americans have spoken, what now Dems?

The Dems are always saying that the American people spoke on November 7th, so now they have spoken again? What say you now? From the NY Post .... February 21, 2007 — In a dramatic finding, a new poll shows a solid majority of Americans still wants to win the war in Iraq - and keep U.S. troops there until the Baghdad government can take over. Strong majorities also say victory is vital to the War on Terror and that Americans should support President Bush even if they have concerns about the way the war is being handled, according to the survey conducted by Public Opinion Strategies. The poll found that 57 percent of Americans supported "finishing the job in Iraq" - keeping U.S. troops there until the Iraqis can provide security on their own. Forty-one percent disagreed. powered by performancing firefox

What an absolute fool!

The Washington Post reveals the utter ignorance of John Murtha; (via PoliPundit ). Mr. Murtha’s cynicism is matched by an alarming ignorance about conditions in Iraq. He continues to insist that Iraq “would be more stable with us out of there,” in spite of the consensus of U.S. intelligence agencies that early withdrawal would produce “massive civilian casualties.” He says he wants to force the administration to “bulldoze” the Abu Ghraib prison, even though it was emptied of prisoners and turned over to the Iraqi government last year. He wants to “get our troops out of the Green Zone” because “they are living in Saddam Hussein’s palace"; could he be unaware that the zone’s primary occupants are the Iraqi government and the U.S. Embassy? And finally from the Washington Times; “’They won’t be able to continue. They won’t be able to do the deployment. They won’t have the equipment, they don’t have the training and they won’t be able to do the work. There’s no question in my mind.” H...

So it took a week to come up with this? What a joke!

After a week of debate and much expelled hot air; the Democrat controlled House of Representatives, with the help of 17 cowardly Republicans, came up with this piece of brilliance; “Congress and the American people will continue to support and protect the members of the United States Armed Forces who are serving or who have served bravely and honorably in Iraq; and Congress disapproves of the decision of President George W. Bush announced on January10, 2007, to deploy more than 20,000 additional United States combat troops to Iraq.” There are no words that can describe this laughable and hugely stupid statement. I am completely embarrassed that these transparent men and women represent the United States of America. powered by performancing firefox

Dems and AP finally admit what we all know...

The Democrat party and the AP have finally admitted in print what we all have known for quite some time, that they are actively trying to undermine the troops and in turn the President. They care only about there own political power and nothing about the future security of the country.... From an AP article... Apart from legislation, Democrats have embarked on an effort to undermine public support for the war by holding numerous hearings. And this document from the Democrats also uses the same wording...Disgusting!

Obama? Present!

A not so encouraging sign about Obama-mania; The Ever-'Present' Obama Barack has a along track record of not taking a stand. BY NATHAN GONZALES Wednesday, February 14, 2007 12:01 a.m. EST Finally and officially, Barack Obama is running for president. His symbolic announcement, in the Land of Lincoln, called for a new era in politics. Obama downplayed his thin federal experience while championing his record on the state and local level, and he talked about the need to change Washington, set priorities, and "make hard choices." "What's stopped us is the failure of leadership, the smallness of our politics--the ease with which we're distracted by the petty and trivial, our chronic avoidance of tough decisions," Obama said in his announcement speech. But a closer look at the presidential candidate's record in the Illinois Legislature reveals something seemingly contradictory: a number of occasions when Obama avoided making hard choices. While some co...

Everyone makes mistakes...

...but this is ridicules, a correction to the Washington Post's big February 9th scoop that MSNBC and the AP both couldn't wait to pick up; A Feb. 9 front-page article about the Pentagon inspector general's report regarding the office of former undersecretary of defense Douglas J. Feith incorrectly attributed quotations to that report. References to Feith's office producing "reporting of dubious quality or reliability" and that the office "was predisposed to finding a significant relationship between Iraq and al Qaeda" were from a report issued by Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.) in Oct. 2004. Similarly, the quotes stating that Feith's office drew on "both reliable and unreliable reporting" to produce a link between al-Qaeda and Iraq "that was much stronger than that assessed by the IC [Intelligence Community] and more in accord with the policy views of senior officials in the Administration" were also from Levin's report. The ar...

Operation Baghdad has begun...

According to IraqTheModel Operation Baghdad Has Started! Minutes after nighttime curfew began in Baghdad at 9 pm we saw breaking news on al-Hurra and al-Jazeera saying that Baghdad's security operation has just started. The news says the first operation is currently underway in Azamiyah in the northeastern part of the city. However, it looks quiet here at the moment, except for a sudden increase in activity in the skies with US jet fighters patrolling over the northern parts of Baghdad. We're now only a few kilometers far from Azamiyah, so if there's going to be some action, we'll certainly hear-or see-it, and we'll keep you updated.

Al-Jazeera gets got!

Al-Jazeera.com hot-linked (stole bandwidth) to an image at www.snappedshot.com. Being pissed off about the bandwidth theft they replaced the image with...well.... click here to see for yourself before its too late...you'll know the image when you see it!

Global Warming, The Cold, Hard Facts?

Great article that will get absolutely no attention from the MSM because it does not conform to their agenda; Global Warming is not due to human contribution of Carbon Dioxide Global Warming: The Cold, Hard Facts? By Timothy Ball Monday, February 5, 2007 Global Warming, as we think we know it, doesn't exist. And I am not the only one trying to make people open up their eyes and see the truth. But few listen, despite the fact that I was the first Canadian Ph.D. in Climatology and I have an extensive background in climatology, especially the reconstruction of past climates and the impact of climate change on human history and the human condition. Few listen, even though I have a Ph.D, (Doctor of Science) from the University of London, England and was a climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg. For some reason (actually for many), the World is not listening. Here is why. What would happen if tomorrow we were told that, after all, the Earth is flat? It would probably be the ...

Deliberate deceit....

The AP says this; Republicans blocked a full-fledged Senate debate over Iraq on Monday , but Democrats vowed to find a way to force President Bush to change course in a war that has claimed the lives of more than 3,000 U.S. troops. “We must heed the results of the November elections and the wishes of the American people,” said Majority Leader Harry Reid. Reid, D-Nev., spoke moments before a vote that sidetracked a nonbinding measure expressing disagreement with Bush’s plan to deploy an additional 21,500 troops to Iraq. The vote was 49-47, or 11 short of the 60 needed to go ahead with debate, and left the fate of the measure uncertain. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky described the test vote as merely a “bump in the road” and added that GOP lawmakers “welcome the debate and are happy to have it.” But what really happened is this, from Captains Quarters; Reid and the Democrats insisted on blocking any consideration of alternatives and demanded an e...

Are you kidding me?

Super Bowl Ads of Cartoonish Violence, Perhaps Reflecting Toll of War By STUART ELLIOTT No commercial that appeared last night during Super Bowl XLI directly addressed Iraq, unlike a patriotic spot for Budweiser beer that ran during the game two years ago. But the ongoing war seemed to linger just below the surface of many of this year’s commercials. More than a dozen spots celebrated violence in an exaggerated, cartoonlike vein that was intended to be humorous, but often came across as cruel or callous. For instance, in a commercial for Bud Light beer, sold by Anheuser-Busch, one man beat the other at a game of rock, paper, scissors by throwing a rock at his opponent’s head. In another Bud Light spot, face-slapping replaced fist-bumping as the cool way for people to show affection for one another. In a FedEx commercial, set on the moon, an astronaut was wiped out by a meteor. In a spot for Snickers candy, sold by Mars, two co-workers sought to prove their masculinity by tearing off pa...

What a shock!

Edwards' Plan for Universal Health Care Includes Raising Taxes Edwards_2008 Posted: Today at 1:42 p.m. Updated: Today at 2:21 p.m. WASHINGTON — Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards said Sunday his plan for universal health care would require higher taxes and cost up to $120 billion year. "We're asking everybody to share in the responsibility of making health care work in this country," said the 2004 vice presidential nominee and former North Carolina senator. "Yes, we'll have to raise taxes. The only way you can pay for a health care plan that costs anywhere from $90 (billion) to $120 billion is there has to be a revenue source."

The Convenient Lie

The other side of the story...the one we NEVER hear about... The real deal? Against the grain: Some scientists deny global warming exists Lawrence Solomon, National Post Published: Friday, February 02, 2007 Astrophysicist Nir Shariv, one of Israel's top young scientists, describes the logic that led him -- and most everyone else -- to conclude that SUVs, coal plants and other things man-made cause global warming. Step One Scientists for decades have postulated that increases in carbon dioxide and other gases could lead to a greenhouse effect. Step Two As if on cue, the temperature rose over the course of the 20th century while greenhouse gases proliferated due to human activities. Step Three No other mechanism explains the warming. Without another candidate, greenhouses gases necessarily became the cause. Dr. Shariv, a prolific researcher who has made a name for himself assessing the movements of two-billion-year-old meteorites, no longer accepts this logic, or subscribes to thes...
