SoS of Ohio says Eastern Ohioans are racist

They must get it from Western Pennsylvania. Now Jennifer Brunner takes a cue from John Murtha and calls Eastern Ohioans racists.  Eastern Ohio borders John Murtha's racist Western Pennsylvania. Simply stunning how the Dems can continually call their own constituents racists on a regular basis;

So I guess she thinks that Obama is going to pay for everything she needs...

Fast Eddie is nervous...really nervous.

Hey Eddie, NBC says its a statistical dead heat, so do you think McCain is winning? Rendell says race is closer than polls indicate | Wilkes-Barre News | The Times Leader By Bill O’Boyle boboyle@timesleader.com Staff Writer Gov. Ed Rendell Friday said the presidential race between Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain is "closer than the polls indicate." Urging people to get out and vote in Tuesday's general election, Rendell said Obama does not have a double-digit lead in Pennsylvania and he told voters to take an umbrella and dress warmly to withstand the weather. Rendell Times Leader Photo Store "Stay in that line and make sure you vote," Rendell told about 50 people at Wilkes University. "I've seen polls that have the race as close as four points." Rendell also said the addition of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to the Republican ticket has "enthused" the campaign. "She has drawn thousands of people to every event she has app...

"Selfishness"

Oh boy...another gift from "The One"...Not only is it patriotic to pay higher taxes but those that don't want to are nothing but selfish people... “The point is, though, that — and it’s not just charity, it’s not just that I want to help the middle class and working people who are trying to get in the middle class — it’s that when we actually make sure that everybody’s got a shot – when young people can all go to college, when everybody’s got decent health care, when everybody’s got a little more money at the end of the month – then guess what? Everybody starts spending that money, they decide maybe I can afford a new car, maybe I can afford a computer for my child. They can buy the products and services that businesses are selling and everybody is better off. All boats rise. That’s what happened in the 1990s, that’s what we need to restore. And that’s what I’m gonna do as president of the United States of America. “John McCain and Sarah Palin they call this socia...

The #1 video on YouTube

According to the BBC this is the #1 video on YouTube with 11 million views... A man stares down the lens, delivering a message to the camera. Dear Mr Obama: Iraq veteran's message to Democrat "Dear Mr Obama having spent 12 months in Iraq theatre I can promise you it's not a mistake." At 1 minute 55 seconds, it's short, simple and powerful. "When you call the Iraqi war a mistake you disrespect the service and sacrifice of everyone who has died promoting freedom... Because you do not understand or appreciate these principles Sir, I am supporting Senator John McCain for president." The film, titled Dear Mr Obama, is the most-viewed election-related video on the YouTube website, attracting more than 11 million hits. Made by an Iraq war returnee, it's an example of how ordinary Americans have used the website to get their voice heard. Obama reaching across the aisle...to kick reporters off plane!

More of what an Obama administration will be like; NY POST, DALLAS MORNING NEWS, WASHINGTON TIMES TOLD TO GET OUT... ALL 3 ENDORSED MCCAIN **Exclusive** The Obama campaign has decided to heave out three newspapers from its plane for the final days of its blitz across battleground states -- and all three endorsed Sen. John McCain for president! The NY POST, WASHINGTON TIMES and DALLAS MORNING NEWS have all been told to move out by Sunday to make room for network bigwigs -- and possibly for the inclusion of reporters from two black magazines, ESSENCE and JET, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned. Despite pleas from top editors of the three newspapers that have covered the campaign for months at extraordinary cost, the Obama campaign says their reporters -- and possibly others -- will have to vacate their coveted seats so more power players can document the final days of Sen. Barack Obama's historic campaign to become the first black American president. MORE Some told the DRUDGE REPORT that...

McCain signs being stolen? Electrify them!

A homeowner had had enough and figured out a clever way to prevent his McCain signs from being stolen... Sign battle starts with a zzzzzzzt! Jay Price, Staff Writer CHAPEL HILL - After Shawn Turschak saw two sets of McCain-Palin signs disappear from his yard within  hours of being planted, he took steps to protect the latest pair. On Monday, he ran wires from his house and hooked the signs into a power source for an electric pet fence. Then he mounted a surveillance camera in a nearby tree and wired it to a digital recorder. Tuesday afternoon, the camera saw this: A neighbor trotting up with an Obama-Biden sign, grabbing a handful of volts as he touched a McCain-Palin sign, then fleeing at top 9-year-old boy speed. A few minutes later, the boy's father, Andrew Noble, was at Turschak's door, demanding an explanation from Turschak's 13-year-old daughter, who called her parents on the phone to say a man was yelling at her. Both families agree on one aspect of the exchange, tha...

Mark Steyn!

From the Steyn-way ; This is an amazing race. The incumbent president has approval ratings somewhere between Robert Mugabe and the ebola virus. The economy is supposedly on the brink of global Armageddon. McCain has only $80 million to spend, while Obama's burning through $600 mil as fast as he can, and he doesn't really need to spend a dime given the wall-to-wall media adoration. And tonight Chris Matthews' doctors announced that his leg tingle has metastasized leaving his entire body like a vibrating cellphone whose ringtone is locked on "I'm In Love, I'm In Love, I'm In Love, I'm In Love, I'm In Love With A Wonderful Guy." And yet an old cranky broke loser is within two or three points of the King of the World. Strange.

From the people who are allegedly smarter than us...

Erica Jong says this: “ If Obama loses it will spark the second American Civil War. Blood will run in the streets , believe me. And it’s not a coincidence that President Bush recalled soldiers from Iraq for Dick Cheney to lead against American citizens in the streets.” Ok...I thought it was because we were kicking ass in Iraq.

CBS: Obama's numbers don't add up...

I guess they figure he's got it wrapped up so anything they say now won't matter; CBS: "If he closes every loophole as promised, saves every dime from Iraq, raises taxes on the rich and trims the federal budget as he's promised to do 'line by line,' he still doesn't pay for his list."

Very interesting post over at HillBuzz by a supposed Obama campaign worker who is voting for McCain; sarah p Says: October 27, 2008 at 5:04 am Ok, I want to clear my conscious a little. Hopefully you could make a blog post to help some fellow clinton supporters out. I work for a campaign and can’t wait for this week to be over. I was doing it for a job. I was not a fan of any candidate but over time grew to love HRC. The internal campaign idea is to twist, distort, humiliate and finally dispirit you. We pay people and organize people to go to all the online sites and “play the part of a clinton or mccain supporter who just switched our support for obama” We do this to stifle your motivation and to destroy your confidence. We did this the whole primary and it worked. Read the whole thing . Who knows if this person really is an Obama campaign worker but what she described is what has been suspected by many in the conservative blogosphere.

What the hell is he talking about here...

From The Barack Obama Variet Show; "Loving your country shouldn't just mean watching fireworks on the 4th of July," he said. "Loving your country must mean accepting your responsibility to do your part to change it. If you do, your life will be richer, our country will be stronger."... "We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set," he said Wednesday. Rasmussen: McCain leads on economy 47-45

After a month of bad media coverage over his economic positions Rasmussen now reports that McCain leads Obama on the issue; After several weeks of John McCain’s campaign attacks on Barack Obama’s tax plan and idea of “spreading the wealth around”, the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds voters trust McCain more than Obama on taxes, 47% to 45%. Two weeks ago, Obama had a one point-advantage on the issue of taxes and a month ago, he had a three-point edge. The last time McCain had the advantage on this issue was September 14, just before the collapse of Lehman Brothers started the meltdown on Wall Street (see trends).

Clinton: Obama had no clue on the economy until he called me

Well that's reassuring. From Jake Tapper : Clinton's explanations of why Obama is qualified [on the economy] were interesting, to say the least. "You know what he did?" Clinton said, heralding Obama's reaction to the financial crisis. "First he took a little heat for not saying much. I knew what he was doing. He talked to his advisers – he talked to my economic advisers, he called Hillary. He called me. He called Warren Buffet. He called all those people, you know why? Because he knew it was complicated and before he said anything he wanted to understand." Got that? "If we have not learned anything we have learned that we need a president that wants to understand and who can understand, " Clinton said. Thank heaven the Clintons were there to help Obama understand!

Obama's prime-time ad skips over budget realities - Yahoo! News WASHINGTON – Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama was less than upfront in his half-hour commercial Wednesday night about the costs of his programs and the crushing budget pressures he would face in office. Obama's assertion that "I've offered spending cuts above and beyond" the expense of his promises is accepted only by his partisans. His vow to save money by "eliminating programs that don't work" masks his failure throughout the campaign to specify what those programs are — beyond the withdrawal of troops from Iraq. A sampling of what voters heard in the ad, and what he didn't tell them:

What an ass face this guy is...McCain criticizes Frank's tax increase rhetoric and then Frank says McCain is appealing to prejudice... Frank yesterday dismissed McCain's words as "an appeal to prejudice" that he said reminded him of past Republican efforts to raise voter concerns about the prospect of congressmen Charles Rangel and John Conyers, who are black, becoming committee chairs. "I'm flattered by this," said Frank, who is gay. "But I don't think I'm the single most important member of the House after Nancy Pelosi. There are also a lot of straight white men who are committee chairmen." McCain's chief speechwriter, Mark Salter, shook his head when asked to respond. "We're bringing him up for his quotes," said Salter. "We're prejudiced against wasteful spenders and tax hikers."

It would be really controversial if it got out. Tha's why they will not even let a transcript get out.

Judge rules park benches are legit homes

"Wherever I lay my hat that's my home..." Judge rules Ohio homeless voters may list park benches as addresses Tuesday, October 28, 2008 1:32 PM COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A federal judge in Ohio has ruled that counties must allow homeless voters to list park benches and other locations that aren't buildings as their addresses. U.S. District Judge Edmund Sargus also ruled that provisional ballots can't be invalidated because of poll worker errors. Monday's ruling resolved the final two pieces of a settlement between the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless and Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner. The coalition agreed to drop a constitutional challenge to Ohio's voter identification law until after the Nov. 4 election. In return, Brunner and the coalition agreed on procedures to verify provisional ballots across all Ohio counties. The coalition was concerned that unequal treatment of provisional ballots would disenfranchise some voters.

Obama's ever moving tax threshold...

From NRO : First it was $250,000, then over the weekend it moved to $200,000 and now from Joe Biden we get this gem yesterday; What we’re saying is that $87 billion tax break doesn’t need to go to people making an average of 1.4 million, it should go like it used to. It should go to middle class people — people making under $150,000 a year .” McCain hit on this today; Senator Obama has made a lot of promises. First he said people making less than 250,000 dollars would benefit from his plan, then this weekend he announced in an ad that if you're a family making less than 200,000 dollars you'll benefit — but yesterday, right here in Pennsylvania, Senator Biden said tax relief should only go to "middle class people — people making under 150,000 dollars a year." It's interesting how their definition of rich has a way of creeping down. At this rate, it won't be long before Senator Obama is right back to his vote that Americans making just 42,000 dollars a year shou...

The cable news channel is "completely out of control," said writer-producer Linda Bloodworth-Thomason, a self-proclaimed liberal Democrat. She added that she would prefer a lunch date with right-leaning Fox News star Sean Hannity over left-leaning MSNBC star Keith Olbermann. The Hartford Courant do the good work; Sen. Christopher Dodd's bewildering odyssey of entitlement, evasions and deceptions continued last week. He shed more credibility as he staggered through new excuses for concealing from the public documents related to his cut-rate mortgages of nearly $800,000 from subprime giant Countrywide Financial. On Wednesday, Dodd announced he wants to wait until the Senate Ethics Committee completes its investigation of his mortgage deals. There's no Senate rule requiring Dodd to remain silent during the investigation. There's no legitimate reason for Dodd to withhold from the public the array of documents, e-mails and letters from the mortgage swag bag Countrywide gave him. A Senate investigation isn't like a Countrywide mortgage: It's expensive to prove there's nothing there. Dodd has caught a lucky break, as senators often do. While Palin goes rogue, Biden is a reliable idiot...

Hysterical column about what a reliable asset a bumbling fool Joe Biden is; Biden a reliable running mate amid the stumbles - Yahoo! The biggest knock against Biden during discussions on whether he would make a good vice presidential nominee was that his mouth tends to get him in trouble. And it has, with Biden recently raising the expectation that Obama would be tested by an international crisis soon after taking office — a comment that Obama said showed Biden's penchant for "rhetorical flourish." Sales of previously owned homes up 5.5%

Well since the prices are so low and mortgage rates are low (but climbing slightly) the buying had to start sooner or later . Sales of previously owned U.S. homes rose 5.5 percent last month, the biggest gain since July 2003, and the inventory of unsold homes fell, a hopeful sign for a housing market mired in a long slump. The National Association of Realtors said on Friday that sales of existing homes rose to a 5.18 million-unit annual rate from the 4.91 million unit pace set in August. Economists had expected sales to rise to only a 4.93 million unit rate. It was the first time the sales pace had risen above its year ago level in nearly three years, a sign the market could be stabilizing. The surprisingly large jump in sales pushed the inventory of unsold homes down by 1.6 percent to 4.27 million, or a 9.9 months’ supply at the current pace, the lowest since February.

Ashley Todd, 20, of Texas, initially told police that she was robbed at an ATM in Bloomfield and that the suspect became enraged and started beating her after seeing her GOP sticker on her car. Police investigating the alleged attack, however, began to notice some inconsistencies in her story and administered a polygraph test. Authorities, however, declined to release the results of that test. And she apparent...

Obama a member of Socialist New Party?

Image
Well thats what this graphic from the party's 1996 newsletter says...seems like something that should be looked into.  So I guess we can expect more articles about Palin's clothers or her answers to questions from 3rd graders... Here's an image of the entire page from where the above snip came from;

NY Times endorsed Obama...here's the past endorsements

You may notice a pattern; John Kerry in 2004 Al Gore in 2000 Michael Dukakis in 1988 Walter Mondale in 1984 Jimmy Carter in 1980 George McGovern in 1972 Hubert Humphrey in 1968 Well, 1 out of 7 ain't too good...I am assuming they endorsed Clinton in 1992 and 1996 but so far haven't found anything.

Nice piece on Sarah Palin and the abuse that is being heaped upon her; Wonder Land - WSJ.com Hatin' Palin She's not the reason Americans can't stand their politicians. * By DANIEL HENNINGER The abuse being heaped on Sarah Palin is such a cheap shot. The complaint against the Alaska governor, at its most basic, is that she doesn't qualify for admission to the national political fraternity. Boy, that's rich. Behold the shabby frat house that says it's above her pay grade. [Wonder Land] NBC Sarah Palin appears with Lorne Michaels on Saturday Night Live. Congress has the lowest approval rating ever registered in the history of polling (12%!). She isn't the reason polls are showing people want the entire Congress fired, with many telling pollsters they themselves could do a better job. Sarah Palin didn't design a system of presidential primaries whose length and cost ensures that only the most obsessional personalities will run the gauntlet, while a...

McCain as a POW in French archive footage released today

From CBS News, yes CBS News...

Ryan Corsaro reports : (COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO.) - It might be surprising to some to learn that Sarah Palin is now talking to her national press corps more often than Joe Biden. While the once silent Palin has taken questions from reporters that travel with her three times in the last week, Biden has not offered the same type of access to reporters who cover his every move on the campaign trail in almost two months.

Were Biden's remarks based in national security briefing?

It seems reasonable to assume that Joe Biden's remarks about the world testing Barack Obama if he is elected may not have been a result of his usual blow-hardiness but based on national security briefings that each campaign has received to keep the abreast of threats around the world. More evidence that this was deliberate is that he made these remarks twice, the first time on Saturday October 18th in San Francisco and then the next day in Seattle. GateWay Pundit does his usual great job of analysis.

On the heels of the Fox poll showing Obama by 9...

Comes this AP poll just released which shows exactly the opposite, Obama 44, McCain43; The presidential race tightened after the final debate, with John McCain gaining among whites and people earning less than $50,000, according to an Associated Press-GfK poll that shows McCain and Barack Obama essentially running even among likely voters in the election homestretch. The poll, which found Obama at 44 percent and McCain at 43 percent, supports what some Republicans and Democrats privately have said in recent days: that the race narrowed after the third debate as GOP-leaning voters drifted home to their party and McCain's "Joe the plumber" analogy struck a chord. Three weeks ago, an AP-GfK survey found that Obama had surged to a seven-point lead over McCain, lifted by voters who thought the Democrat was better suited to lead the nation through its sudden economic crisis. The contest is still volatile, and the split among voters is apparent less than two weeks before Electi...

This is just TERRIFIC!

Tito the Construction worker smacks down David Corn!   Take not of Corn's absolute ignorance of why McCain supporters would be upset with the media.

Can you imagine if Palin said this?

Unbelievable!   And Dan Rather is absolutely correct about what he says here, again unbelievably;

Obama gets the Mark Foley endorsement...

Remember him? There have been so many scandals since October, 2006, the month that I launched this blog, that I just about forgot who Mark Foley was. I got an excited phone call yesterday from two friends, TV producer Richard Ayoub and talent manager Dolores Cantu, who were having lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Sitting the next table over was Foley, who resigned just before the midterms after the revelation that he sent inappropriate e-mail messages to a congressional page. Ayounb and Cantu didn't know immediately recognize him until he told them he had once been in Congress. The jist of the conversation then went like this, according to both: Cantu: "You didn't have an affair, did you?" Foley: "Well, I was..." Realizing who was in their midst, Ayoub, who has a penchant for devilish humor, offered a deadpanned admonishment, "You should not flirt with congressional pages." Foley went on to say that nothing happened, he didn't realize that the...

Battleground Poll: Obama by 1

No matter how hard the Obama media tells us this is over, it ain't over till it's over. HillBuzz has interesting analysis of this poll... Undecideds will go to McCain at a rate of 4:1 or higher, the same way they broke for Clinton. That means in this Battleground Poll, it’s actually McCain 52%-Obama 49%. The other interesting thing to keep in mind is that, on average, Obama overpolled by 7% in our primaries. That means his support could actually only be at 42% in this poll above, with McCain ahead by 17-points. I don't know about 17% but I can see the 3% spread as reasonable...

Drudge: Oprah "begging" to help Obama with infomercial!

I guess as long as it's not on her show then she'll do anything to get the messiah elected... OPRAH OFFERS PRODUCTION HELP WITH OBAMA'S NETWORK SPECIAL Tue Oct 21 2008 09:28:56 ET **Exclusive** Oprah Winfrey is offering to "produce" the half-hour Barack Obama advertisement set to air on Oct. 29, a top source tells the DRUDGE REPORT. The Daytime TV dynamo has even offered up her studio space in Chicago. "She's been begging Obama to let her help," a source explaines.

When is the press going to start calling for Biden to hold a press conference?

From CBS News... In the past two days alone, Palin has answered questions from her national press corps on three separate occasions. On Saturday, she held another plane availability, and on Sunday, she offered an impromptu press conference on the tarmac upon landing in Colorado Springs. A few minutes later, she answered even more questions from reporters during an off-the-record stop at a local ice cream shop. By contrast, Biden hasn’t held a press conference in more than a month, and Obama hasn’t taken questions from his full traveling press corps since the end of September. John McCain—who spent most of the primary season holding what seemed like one, never-ending media availability—hasn’t done one since Sept. 23.

Did Biden just confirm what McCain has been saying!

McCain has been saying we can't afford a guy who will engage in on the job training.  So Biden goes out and just confirms it ; “Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.” “I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you - not financially to help him - we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within th...

Obama Broke Illinois Ethics Laws As A State Legislator - Say Anything Obama Broke Illinois Ethics Laws As A State Legislator By Rob on October 19, 2008 at 11:10 am Apparently, on Obama’s released tax records, he discloses income from speaking fees. The problem? Accepting payment for speaking fees when you’re a legislator is against Illinois state law. Apparently, as an Illinois state legislator through 2004, Barack was prohibited from taking honoraria for speaking under the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act. But what about Barack Obama’s 2000 and 2002 tax returns? 2000: On his 2000 Schedule C-EZ, Barack reported that he received $16,500 as a “Foundation director/Educational speaker.” 2001: On his 2001 Schedule C-EZ, Barack reported $98,158 from a Chicago law firm, Miner, Barnhill, for “Legal services/attorney” (and nothing for speaking). 2002: On his 2002 Schedule C, Barack reported $34,491 for “LEGAL SERVCES / SPEAKING FEES.” These “speaking fees” are in addit...

Not to mention his forehead. He looks creepy...The Washington Post has a comparison; He definitely looks like he did have some Botox injections...

Obama: Plumbers don't make that much money anyway...

I don't think this is the way to attract small business voters; "And then he's trying to suggest that a plumber is the guy he's fighting for," Obama said, in a reference to Joe Wurzelbacher. "How many plumbers you know makin' a quarter million dollars a year? I have a different set of priorities, I'll give a middle class tax cut to 95% of all workers."

Politico: "Joe The Plumber" a racist

So now Joe the Plumber is a racist ...so says the Politico; He also said that, in his encounter with Obama, the Illinois Senator "a tap dance...almost as good as Sammy Davis, Jr." So JOe is now a racist because he compared Barack Obama to a black actor who also was a tap dancer...yeah, I don't get it either but whatever...

Say it ain't so Joe...

It just never ends with that three letter names J.O.E. ;

Obama actually said this...

If this is how he reacts to being challenged by a news outlet how is he going to respond to real national security issues? “I am convinced that if there were no Fox News, I might be two or three points higher in the polls,” Obama told me. “If I were watching Fox News, I wouldn’t vote for me, right? Because the way I’m portrayed 24/7 is as a freak! I am the latte-sipping, New York Times-reading, Volvo-driving, no-gun-owning, effete, politically correct, arrogant liberal. Who wants somebody like that? “I guess the point I’m making,” he went on, “is that there is an entire industry now, an entire apparatus, designed to perpetuate this cultural schism, and it’s powerful. People want to know that you’re fighting for them, that you get them. And I actually think I do. But you know, if people are just seeing me in sound bites, they’re not going to discover that. That’s why I say that some of that may have to happen after the election, when they get to know you.” He cannot be serious. Why d...

"On second thought, I don't want to verify all of those voter registration forms...."

This is why we should be required to provide a photo id to vote... Ohio elections chief appeals court ruling Ohio elections chief appeals court ruling 2 hours ago COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio's top elections chief has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene in a dispute over whether the state is required to do more to help counties verify voter eligibility. A spokesman for Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner said Thursday that an appeal has been filed with the high court. On Tuesday, the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati sided with the Ohio Republican Party and ordered Brunner to set up a system that provides names of newly registered voters whose driver's license numbers or Social Security numbers don't match records in other government databases. The GOP contends the information will help prevent fraud. Brunner, a Democrat, has called the issue a veiled attempt at disenfranchising voters and that other checks exist to help determine eligibility. The only peo...

No one yelled "Kill him"

I am waiting breathlessly for Keith Olbermann to issue a retraction about this ridicules claim that someone yelled "kill him" at a Palin rally at the mention of Obama's name. Secret Service says "Kill him" allegation unfounded By Andrew M. Seder aseder@timesleader.com Staff Writer SCRANTON – The agent in charge of the Secret Service field office in Scranton said allegations that someone yelled “kill him” when presidential hopeful Barack Obama’s name was mentioned during Tuesday’s Sarah Palin rally are unfounded. The Scranton Times-Tribune first reported the alleged incident on its Web site Tuesday and then again in its print edition Wednesday. The first story, written by reporter David Singleton, appeared with allegations that while congressional candidate Chris Hackett was addressing the crowd and mentioned Oabama’s name a man in the audience shouted “kill him."
