Senator Menedez is either stupid, an idiot or just dumber than a rock. He keeps talking about the capital gains tax when that was never the topic being discussed. First he says he's talking about income taxes and then he shifts to capital gains taxes. He either knew he couldn't defend Obama's awful tax plan and figured he could spin away the interview or he really is the stupidest man on earth.

Sarah Palin | adn.com New Troopergate report clears Palin By LISA DEMER | ldemer@adn.com Published: November 3rd, 2008 03:46 PM Last Modified: November 3rd, 2008 03:50 PM A new report just released -- hours before the polls open on Election Day -- exonerates Gov. Sarah Palin in the Troopergate controversy. The state Personnel Board-sanctioned investigation is the second into whether Palin violated state ethics law in firing her public safety commissioner, and it contradicts the earlier findings by a special counsel hired by the state Legislature. Both investigations found that Palin was within her rights to fire Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan.

Media Matters Attacks ‘Conservative Misinformation’ - NYTimes.com WASHINGTON — They are some of the more memorable slip-ups or slights within the news media’s coverage of the 2008 presidential campaign. A Fox News anchor asks whether Senator Barack Obama and his wife had greeted each other with a “terrorist fist jab.” Rush Limbaugh calls military personnel critical of the war in Iraq “phony soldiers.” Mr. Limbaugh and another Fox host repeat an accusation that Mr. Obama attended a madrassa, or Islamic school, in Indonesia. The NY Times again tries to promote the lie that Rush Limbaugh called soldiers who criticize the war in Iraq phony soldiers. He did no such thing. He has proved it beyond a shadow of a doubt be replaying the audio of the conversation he was having with a caller when this comment was made. He was talking about Jesse Macbeth the convicted and admitted phony soldier. How many times does the Times plan on lying this? Even Wikipedia, not the most reliable source of ...

A NIXONESQUE MOVE FROM TEAM OBAMA - New York Post A NIXONESQUE MOVE FROM TEAM OBAMA * Comments: 10 * Read Comments * Leave a Comment By KIRSTEN POWERS Last updated: 5:40 am November 1, 2008 Posted: 5:00 am November 1, 2008 TEAM Obama veered off message yesterday, kicking off the campaign bus reporters from three newspapers deemed unfriendly to the campaign - The New York Post, The Dallas Morning News and The Washington Times. This is bipartisanship? The move is utterly at odds with a central part of Obama's message: the idea that he's a different kind of candidate - one who won't demonize opponents or critics, but will instead work hard to bring people together.

This is big news...so of course you don't really hear about it... Al-Qaeda propaganda chief killed in Pakistan strike: officials An Egyptian Al-Qaeda operative -- described by the United States as the terror network's propaganda chief -- was killed in a missile strike in Pakistan, security officials said on Saturday. Abu Jihad al-Masri was among several rebels killed when two missiles fired by a suspected US spy drone hit a truck in the North Waziristan tribal region bordering Afghanistan on Friday night, they said. The United States has offered a one-million-dollar bounty for the death or capture of al-Masri, who has appeared in an anti-Western video introduced by Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden's number two. "The strike was aimed at a vehicle carrying Abu Jihad and two others. The target was successfully hit and all three people were killed," a senior Pakistani security official told AFP on condition of anonymity. His death came in one of two separate missi...

Obama has testy moment with the media Oct 31 06:55 PM US/Eastern By BEN FELLER Associated Press Writer CHICAGO (AP) - Democrat Barack Obama got annoyed with the media Friday as he tried to walk down a Chicago street with his 7-year-old daughter, Sasha, who was dressed up in a shiny costume for Halloween. A pool of national photographers, reporters and a video crew traveling with Obama quickly covered the spontaneous moment. "All right guys, that's enough," said Obama, wearing a casual outfit and sunglasses in the early evening. He and his daughter were walking right toward the media on a public street. "You got a shot," he told the photographers. "Leave us alone. Come on, guys." He told the media to get back on the bus, referring to the vehicle where the traveling press pool often waits for him. Obama then crossed the street with Sasha. At least one video cameraman who ...

Rendell says race is closer than polls indicate | Wilkes-Barre News | The Times Leader By Bill O’Boyle boboyle@timesleader.com Staff Writer Gov. Ed Rendell Friday said the presidential race between Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain is "closer than the polls indicate."
