Apparently some guy in the neighborhood wrote Obama's "Dreams of My Father"

Image
From the American Thinker : Now, thanks to Jack Cashill, the literary mask has been removed. Obama is a literary pretender. Case closed. The evidence is overwhelming that Bill Ayers ghost-wrote Dreams from my Father, the book which established Obama's pose as a brilliant writer (and therefore a fine mind, in the estimation of many). The stylistic resemblance between the Dreams and Ayers' work is stunning. Now we know, thanks to Chris Andersen's new book, that Obama hit a brick wall trying to fulfill his contract to produce a book, and shipped off his notes and tapes to Ayers. That is the classic description of a ghost writer's assignment. And it completely fits the theories Cashill had inferentially reasoned from the data of his literary studies. The revelation that Chris Andersen had two separate sources means that this fact meets the journalistic standard of reliability, provided by a respected, established bestselling author. Obama's dismissal of Ayers as "j

Heh... U.S. Northeast May Have Coldest Winter in a Decade (Update2) By Todd Zeranski and Erik Schatzker Sept. 28 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. Northeast may have the coldest winter in a decade because of a weak El Nino, a warming current in the Pacific Ocean, according to Matt Rogers , a forecaster at Commodity Weather Group. “Weak El Ninos are notorious for cold and snowy weather on the Eastern seaboard,” Rogers said in a Bloomberg Television interview from Washington. “About 70 percent to 75 percent of the time a weak El Nino will deliver the goods in terms of above-normal heating demand and cold weather. It’s pretty good odds.” Warming in the Pacific often means fewer Atlantic hurricanes and higher temperatures in the U.S. Northeast during January, February and March, according to the National Weather Service. El Nino occurs every two to five years, on average, and lasts about 12 months, according to the service. Hedge-fund managers and other large speculators increased t

Whoopi Goldberg, Super Genius

Today on The View Whoopi offered up this gem on the arrest o Roman Polanski; I know it wasnt rape-rape. It was something else but I dont believe it was rape-rape. Just to remind people of the facts; I met Roman Polanski in 1977, when I was 13 years old, wrote Samantha Geimer, in a 2003 editorial for the Los Angeles Times. He told my mother that he wanted to shoot pictures of me for a French magazine. Thats what he said, but instead, after shooting pictures of me at Jack Nicholsons house on Mulholland Drive, he did something quite different. He gave me champagne and a piece of a Quaalude [a hypnotic drug, also used as a sedative and a muscle relaxant]. And then he took advantage of me. Geimer now a 45-year-old mother of three who lives in Hawaii and works as a bookkeeper wrote these words a few weeks before the 75th Annual Academy Awards, at which Polanski was nominated for an Oscar in absentia for The Pianist, about a Jewish musician living in the Warsaw ghetto of the Second World W

Afghan war is so important Obama has spoken to McChrystal a total of....

Image
ONCE! ; The military general credited for capturing Saddam Hussein and killing the leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq says he has only spoken to President Obama once since taking command of Afghanistan. Ive talked to the president, since Ive been here, once on a VTC [video teleconferece], General Stanley McChrystal told CBS reporter David Martin in a television interview that aired Sunday. Youve talked to him once in 70 days? Mr. Martin followed up. That is correct, the general replied. Is anybody really that surprised? Obama has retreated on just about every campaign promise so the fact that he apparently is laying the ground work to pull back on the "war of necessity" should come as no real shock to anyone.

Good job sport, unemployment for young adults at 52.2%

Image
Must be time for another speech ; The dead end kids Young, unemployed and facing tough future By RICHARD WILNER Last Updated: 4:45 AM, September 27, 2009 The unemployment rate for young Americans has exploded to 52.2 percent -- a post-World War II high, according to the Labor Dept. -- meaning millions of Americans are staring at the likelihood that their lifetime earning potential will be diminished and, combined with the predicted slow economic recovery, their transition into productive members of society could be put on hold for an extended period of time. And worse, without a clear economic recovery plan aimed at creating entry-level jobs, the odds of many of these young adults -- aged 16 to 24, excluding students -- getting a job and moving out of their parents' houses are long. Young workers have been among the hardest hit during the current recession -- in which a total of 9.5 million jobs have been lost.

Good news: Iran test-fires missles during war games exercises

Following the news that Dear Leader is uninterested in winning AP reports ; Iran said it successfully test-fired short-range missiles during military drills Sunday by the elite Revolutionary Guard, a show of force days after the U.S. warned Tehran over a newly revealed underground nuclear facility it was secretly constructing. That sternly worded warning from our young President did wonders didn't it?

Sarkozy mocks Obama

Image
Sarkozy said this in response to Obama's dream of a world of unicorns and candy canes; President Obama dreams of a world without weapons ... but right in front of us two countries are doing the exact opposite. Iran since 2005 has flouted five security council resolutions. North Korea has been defying council resolutions since 1993. I support the extended hand of the Americans, but what good has proposals for dialogue brought the international community? More uranium enrichment and declarations by the leaders of Iran to wipe a UN member state off the map. Probably prompted by this idiotic statement from Dear Leader; "No nation can or should try to dominate another nation." I guess its time for another strongly worded letter...

Don't want ObamaCare and don't want to pay the fee (fine) for not buying it?

You will be happy to hear that you will be relocated to a jail cell for up to one year and face another $25,000 penalty. No why wouldn't anyone want national health care? Ensign receives handwritten confirmation This doesn't happen often enough. Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) received a handwritten note Thursday from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staft Tom Barthold confirming the penalty for failing to pay the up to $1,900 fee for not buying health insurance. Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty, Barthold wrote on JCT letterhead. He signed it "Sincerely, Thomas A. Barthold." The note was a follow-up to Ensign's questioning at the markup.

And of course absolutely nothing will be done by anyone ...except maybe Israel; I ran Reveals Existence of Second Uranium Enrichment Plant By Michael D. Shear and Debbi Wilgoren Washington Post Staff Writers Friday, September 25, 2009 9:55 AM PITTSBURGH, Sept. 25 -- President Obama and the leaders of France and Britain on Friday blasted Iran's construction of a previously unknown uranium enrichment facility and demanded that Tehran immediately fulfill its obligations under international law or risk the imposition of harsh new sanctions. "Iran is breaking rules that all nations must follow," Obama said, detailing how the facility at Qom had been under construction for years without being disclosed, as required, to the International Atomic Energy Association. "International law is not an empty promise." British Prime Minister Gordon Brown accused Iran of "serial deception" that he said "will shock and anger the whole international community, and it

Ayers wrote Obama's "Dreams of my Father?"

Image
Oh my... There's been some theories based on comparing Bill Ayers writing style in his books and Obama's "Dreams of my Father" with some suggesting that Ayers may have ghost written the book for The One.  But now in Christopher Andersen's new book "Barack and Michelle: Portrait of an American Marriage" he seems to be very close to confirming that theory ; In his new book, "Barack and Michelle: Portrait of an American Marriage," Best-selling celebrity journalist, Christopher Andersen, has blown a huge hole in the Obama genius myth without intending to do so. Relying on inside sources, quite possibly Michelle Obama herself, Andersen describes how Dreams came to be published -- just as I had envisioned it in my articles on the authorship of Dreams.  With the deadline pressing, Michelle recommended that Barack seek advice from "his friend and Hyde Park neighbor Bill Ayers." To flesh out his family history, Obama had taped interviews wit

And the apology tour rides again at the UN; The UN loves Barack Obama because he is weak It is not hard to see why a standing ovation awaits Barack Obama when he addresses the United Nations General Assembly today, writes Nile Gardiner.   By Nile Gardiner Published: 8:34AM BST 23 Sep 2009 Barack Obamas Gallup approval rating of 52 percent may well be lower at this stage of his presidency than any US leader in recent times with the exception of Bill Clinton. But he is still worshipped with messiah-like adoration at the United Nations, and is considerably more popular with many of the 192 members of the UN than he is with the American people. The latest Pew Global Attitudes Survey of international confidence in Obamas leadership on foreign affairs shows strikingly high approval levels for the president in many parts of the world  94 percent in Kenya, 93 percent in Germany, 88 percent in Canada and Nigeria, 77 percent in India, 76 percent in Brazil, 71 percent in Indonesia, and 62 percen

CBO Elmendorf: You know how Barry keeps saying he won't cut Medicare? Not really...

Image
But wait, Obama lied? Budget chief contradicts Obama on Medicare costs By ERICA WERNER (AP) – 4 hours ago WASHINGTON — Congress' chief budget officer is contradicting President Barack Obama's oft-stated claim that seniors wouldn't see their Medicare benefits cut under a health care overhaul. The head of the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, Douglas Elmendorf, told senators Tuesday that seniors in Medicare's managed care plans would see reduced benefits under a bill in the Finance Committee. The bill would cut payments to the Medicare Advantage plans by more than $100 billion over 10 years. Elmendorf said the changes would reduce the extra benefits that would be made available to beneficiaries. Critics say the plans are overpaid, while supporters say they work well. Obama says cuts to Medicare providers won't reduce seniors' benefits.

Obama: "irreversible catastrophe" that reversed itself 10 years ago...

Someone needs to tell Captain Awesome that even the UN's own lead author on the IPCC has reversed himself on global warming or climate change or whatever the hell its being called now... Latif is one of the leading climate modellers in the world. He is the recipient of several international climate-study prizes and a lead author for the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). He has contributed significantly to the IPCC's last two five-year reports that have stated unequivocally that man-made greenhouse emissions are causing the planet to warm dangerously. Yet last week in Geneva, at the UN's World Climate Conference--an annual gathering of the so-called "scientific consensus" on man-made climate change --Latif conceded the Earth has not warmed for nearly a decade and that we are likely entering "one or even two decades during which temperatures cool." What? The earth has been cooling for the last 10 years and we may even be en

Gird you loins: “If they take them back, this the end of the road for what Barack and I are trying to do,”

Image
Biden speaks , Obama cringes; ABC News’ Karen Travers reports: Vice President Joe Biden said today that if Democrats were to lose 35 House seats they currently hold in traditionally Republican districts, it would mean doomsday for President Obama’s agenda. Biden said Republicans are pinning their political strategy on flipping these seats. “If they take them back, this the end of the road for what Barack and I are trying to do,” the vice president said at a fundraiser for Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) today in Greenville, Delaware. Republicans need to pick up 40 seats next November to take back control of the House.

Still a bunch of cry babies....

Image
Chris Wallace of Fox News Sunday said this week that the Obama White House is the biggest bunch of cry babies he has ever covered in his 30 years in Washington.  And of course they confirm it with this from ABC News; As President Barack Obama goes on an unprecedented presidential blitz of media appearances, the White House is in a war of words with the network that did not get an interview: Fox. "We figured Fox would rather show 'So You Think You Can Dance' than broadcast an honest discussion about health insurance reform," White House spokesman Josh Earnest told ABC News.

Giles and O'Keefe not turned away, not even once...

Image
Doug Giles, Hannah Giles father, pens a piece for Townhall blog and says that her daughter and her partner James O'Keefe were not turned away from any ACORN offices that they visited. And her father should know; 2. Giles’ and O’Keefe’s mission failed in many locations. Bertha and her buddies say with vigor and Reverend Wright unction that Giles and O’Keefe tried this trick in hundreds of locations without success. Marc Lamont Hill was on O’Reilly’s show this past week parroting the same smack. I heard one lunatic say they visited thousands of centers nationwide (there are under 200. Oops). Hey, guys: Why stop at hundreds and thousands? Why not say gazillions or quadrillions of ACORN centers?! Go Dr. Evil with the numbers. The truth of the matter happens to be that Hannah and James visited just a few locations—I won’t say how many—and struck gold, or sewage, everywhere they went.

I think its extremely important that I blame the Obama loving media for the Obama hate that's been coming my way...

Because you see its not his policies or his lies or the fact that he breaks campaign promises nearly everyday.... "I think it's important for the media, you know - not to do any media-bashing here - to recognize that right now, in this 24-hour news cycle, the easiest way to get on CNN is or Fox or any of the other stations, MSNBC is to say something rude and outrageous," Obama said on CNN's Sept. 20 "State of the Union." "If you're civil and polite and you're sensible and you don't exaggerate the-bad things about your opponent and you know, you might get on one of the Sunday shows. But you're not going to be on the loop. And, you know, part of what I'd like to see is all of us reward decency and civility in our political discourse."

Police in Wellford SC banned from basically do their job by the mayor...

Image
How stupendously stupid ; Chris Cato Published: September 18, 2009 Updated September 18, 2009 (Wellford, SC)—The Mayor of Wellford is defending her policy which bans police officers in that city from chasing suspects. Sallie Peake says the policy also includes vehicle chases along with pursuits on foot. A memo issued on September 2nd from Peake to all Wellford officers reads: “As of this date, there are to be no more foot chases when a suspect runs. I do not want anyone chasing after any suspects whatsoever.“ WSPA first reported the mandate on Wednesday after an anonymous citizen faxed a copy of the memo to our newsroom. Peake was out of town and unavailable for comment. On Friday, reporter Chris Cato caught up with her in her office and questioned her about the origin of the policy. Peake says she issued the mandate because several officers have been injured during chases, driving up insurance costs for the town. “The officers are costing us more money on insurance than most citizens

Obame to Joe Wilson: I didn't lie cause I wanna give all illegals amnesty!

Image
Even though I do not believe we can extend coverage to those who are here illegally, I also dont simply believe we can simply ignore the fact that our immigration system is broken, Mr. Obama said Wednesday evening in a speech to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. Thats why I strongly support making sure folks who are here legally have access to affordable, quality health insurance under this plan, just like everybody else. Mr. Obama added, If anything, this debate underscores the necessity of passing comprehensive immigration reform and resolving the issue of 12 million undocumented people living and working in this country once and for all.

"You lie!"

Image
From the WSJ another lie in Dear Leader's speech from last Wednesday.  Who should the House rebuke for this? President Barack Obama, seeking to make a case for health-insurance regulation, told a poignant story to a joint session of Congress last week. An Illinois man getting chemotherapy was dropped from his insurance plan when his insurer discovered an unreported gallstone the patient hadn't known about. "They delayed his treatment, and he died because of it, " the president said in the nationally televised address. In fact, the man, Otto S. Raddatz, didn't die because the insurance company rescinded his coverage once he became ill, an act known as recission. The efforts of his sister and the office of Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan got Mr. Raddatz's policy reinstated within three weeks of his April 2005 rescission and secured a life-extending stem-cell transplant for him. Mr. Raddatz died this year, nearly four years after the insurance showdown.

Nancy Pelosi is unaware of ACORN being defunded by the Senate...how long will the media allow the "I'm a stupid idiot" defense to be used; WASHINGTON -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said yesterday she is clueless about an amendment to prohibit government funds for embattled ACORN, although it overwhelmingly passed the Senate Monday and the White House is calling for the group to be held accountable. "I don't even know what they passed," Pelosi told The Post yesterday. "What did they do? They defunded it?" The amendment to suspend housing grants was a stunning blow to the community-activist group -- and came as some Democrats and the White House have been backing away from the group. The vote was preceded by the release of videos by conservative activists posing as a pimp and prostitute soliciting -- and receiving -- tips from ACORN employees about how to shield income, avoid taxes and set up a brothel. The issue now goes to a House-Senate conference

45% of doctors would quit if ObamaCare passes...

Image
Pretty eye-opening number .  Certainly doesn't help Dear Leader in his quest for complete control; Two of every three practicing physicians oppose the medical overhaul plan under consideration in Washington, and hundreds of thousands would think about shutting down their practices or retiring early if it were adopted, a new IBD/TIPP Poll has found. The poll contradicts the claims of not only the White House, but also doctors own lobby  the powerful American Medical Association  both of which suggest the medical profession is behind the proposed overhaul. It also calls into question whether an overhaul is even doable; 72% of the doctors polled disagree with the administrations claim that the government can cover 47 million more people with better-quality care at lower cost.

Marc Rotenberg, president of the Electronic Privacy Information Center, said the White House signaled that it would insist on open dealings with Internet users and, in fact, should feel obliged to disclose that it is collecting such information. "The White House has not been adequately transparent, particularly on how it makes use of new social media techniques, such as this example," he said. Defenders of the White House actions said the Presidential Records Act

What's up with Politico?

First the called Obama a miserable failure and now they have apparently discovered this website called YouTube ; Its one of the most persistent  and potent  Republican arguments against health reform: that President Barack Obama and fellow Democrats want a U.S. government takeover of health care. And what evidence do they have to back it up? Obama said so. Just check out YouTube. I happen to be a proponent of a single-payer, universal health care plan, then-U.S. Senate candidate Obama said at an AFL-CIO event in 2003, using the terms that commonly refer to a government-run health insurance system. Everybody in, nobody out, a single-payer health care plan, universal health care plan  thats what Id like to see, he said. WaPo Poll: Obama Health Care Speech was an Epic Fail....

Of course they don't say that, they say it stopped the slide . Well that wasn't the intent. It was suppose to kick start the roll towards socialism ObamaCare but that doesn't seem to have happened, even the WaPo admits that; Our new ABC News/Washington Post poll out this morning shows that the President’s joint session speech may have stopped his summer slide, but it doesn’t appear to have been the “game-changer” Democrats were hoping for. No doubt Obama’s passionate presentation energized his partisans and began to unify Congressional Democrats, but this poll is the best evidence yet of where the public stands – and it demonstrates how difficult it will be for Obama to shape the debate and overcome skepticism about his plan. Bottom line: right now, voters are almost exactly where they were before the speech. Big question: will praise of Obama’s speech from moderate Dems (Ben Nelson called it a “game-changer” and President’s meeting with 17 Blue Dogs had a pos
