Oh, my head hurts...

The National Enquirer got the Edwards story completely right so they get kudos there but apparently their big scoop on Sarah Palin and her alleged affair comes from a guy who is not all that reliable and you need to read this a few times to properly connect the dots. From RiehlWorldView;

The National Enquirer is still flogging the Palin had an affair story. No I'm not linking it, look it up. They can, apparently, as they have someone on the record. Someone on the "inside," I guess??

However, Hanson family insider, Jim Burdett, has gone on the record and passed a rigorous polygraph test, revealing details of the affair to The NATIONAL ENQUIRER in a world exclusive interview.

Burdett is a former brother-in-law of Hanson’s estranged wife Carolyn's brother, Craig Batton, and still speaks with many family members.

I have to write this out to connect the dots - Palin to alleged paramour, to alleged paramour's estranged wife, to alleged paramour's estranged wife's brother, to alleged paramour's estranged wife's brother's wife, to alleged paramour's estranged wife's brother's wife's sister, to alleged paramour's estranged wife's brother's wife's sister's brother? (former husband?) Hell, I'm not even sure that's it.

And according to Gawker he's a broke ex-con.

He's the ex-con former brother-in-law of Brad Hanson's wife Carolyn's brother Craig Bratton, and boy is he a piece of work. Served three years in some unspecified clink for some sort of "theft," he filed for bankruptcy in 2001, he supposedly "turned his life around" and now "speaks regularly with family members"

I think they might have been better off just going with anonymous on this one. But at least we know Andrew Sullivan will buy it.
