Rangel won't step down from tax-writing post

WASHINGTON (AP) - Rep. Charles Rangel will not step down as chairman of a powerful tax-writing committee as he undergoes an ethics investigation by fellow lawmakers, his lawyer said Tuesday.


So whats the big surprise? Name a recent Dem who got into trouble and either stepped down or was removed.

Pelosi said this week she might use a parliamentary technique that would “deem” House members to have passed the Senate’s health-care plan by voting for a more politically palatable package of changes.
